Route des Grandes Alpes 2018
Apologies for taking so long to write to you as a big "Thank you" is long overdue.
I first became aware of the Route des Grande Alpes whilst I was on a on a mountain biking holiday in Les Gets back in the summer of 2008.I vowed that one day I would return and ride the RdGA on my road bike.
Initially I planned to do this in 2017, however at the start of 2017 I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and spent much of that year undergoing chemotherapy, and treatment for my cancer.
At the start of 2018 I was advised that my cancer was under control, so I started training with the RdGA in mind.Fortunately for me three of my friends, Ian, Ken and Dave had ridden with enroute in the past and when I mentioned my plans they had no hesitation in recommending enroute.
I must say that once we saw your itinerary we had no hesitation in booking the trip, and I would add that it exceeded all of our expectations, especially the weather!.
The organisation from start to finish was faultless and the leadership and cameraderie of Louis and Andree on the road was absolutely first class; and as I said previously the daily mileage and climbing was just about right. The Hotels we stayed in were really good with tasty wholesome food served at every location.
I would have no hesitation in recommending enroute to any of my friends.
Thank you and best regards
